Employee onboarding agentDay one, ready to go.

On a new hire's start date, the agent reads their row in your people table. It drafts a welcome, plans the first week's check-ins and writes a task list for the manager. You approve each post and event.

Your first signup includes $50 in free credits.

A first week that runs itself: starts Start date, uses Tables, Slack, Google Calendar, Google Docs.

Ask for it once, in plain words.

No flowchart to draw. Describe the job in chat. TulipFarm sets up the agent and its workflow, and shows you both before anything runs.

You

On each new hire's start date, welcome them in the team channel, book a day-one and day-five check-in with their manager, and make their first-week plan in Docs from our onboarding template.

TulipFarm

I made an agent called Onboarding host and a workflow that starts on the start date in your People table. It reads the row and your template. Posting in Slack, booking events and creating the Doc asks you first. Activate it?

One start date.

Every run is saved as an agent task you can open, check and rerun.

What the team sees in Slack.

A warm welcome, with the plan for the week in one place.

What gets planted.

Three parts you own and can change at any time.

  1. Agent

    Onboarding host

Its instructions, and the apps it may read and write.

  2. Skill

    First-week plan

Your steps for each role, in your words.

  3. Workflow

    On the start date

Starts on a date in your People table.

It reads quietly. It asks before it acts.

Reads without asking

  • The new hire's row in your People table
  • Your onboarding template
  • The manager's calendar

Asks you first

  • Posting in Slack
  • Creating calendar events
  • Creating the plan Doc

It uses your own connections, so it never sees more than you can.

Grow it your way.

  • Start earlier

Run a second workflow a week before the start date to prepare equipment requests.

  • Buddy assigned

Add a buddy column and have the agent introduce the pair.

  • Day 30 check

Add a date column so the agent drafts a 30-day check-in note.

Questions, answered.

Does it create their accounts?

It cannot create accounts itself. It lists the account tasks in the plan and tells the right person. For tools with an MCP server, you can add a Custom MCP connection.

What starts it?

A date in your TulipFarm table, the start date, reaching today.

Can the new hire see the plan?

Only if you share the Doc with them. The agent shares nothing by itself.

A good first day, every time.
