You

Every Monday at 9, compare the Budget sheet with the Spend sheet by category. Put the gaps in a new tab, and post the two biggest overspends and underspends to #finance.

I made an agent called Budget watcher and a workflow for Mondays at 9:00. It reads the Budget and Spend sheets. Writing the new tab and posting to Slack asks you first. Activate it?

Questions, answered.

Where do the actuals come from?

From a sheet you point it at. If your numbers live in accounting software with an MCP server, add it as a Custom MCP connection.

Will it change my budget?

No. It adds a new tab and a message, and asks first. It does not edit your existing cells.

Can it explain a gap?

It can list the items behind a gap if they are in the data. It does not guess reasons that are not there.

Monday starts with the gap in view.
