notion.com/pricingWhere TulipFarm differs from Notion
Four differences that show up when order records live in each tool, each with a note on how Notion handles it.
A required field stops an incomplete order
TulipFarm
Field rules check type, required, choices and unique values, so an order can’t save without a quantity.

Each property has a type, such as number, select, relation or unique ID. Form questions can be required; property help doesn’t mention it.

TulipFarm
A CSV or XLSX import, or a bulk change, is prepared as a proposal and applies only after someone approves it.

Choose the database where missing or wrong values cause the most rework, such as orders or prices.
Export it as CSV
Export the database from Notion as CSV, then set up a TulipFarm table with the same fields and rules.
Import and review
Import the CSV, check the proposed rows, and fix the ones the field rules reject.
Keep Notion as a backup, then switch
Keep the Notion database read-only for a cycle while the team works in TulipFarm. Your first signup includes $50 in free credits.
Questions about TulipFarm and Notion
Is TulipFarm a Notion alternative?
For business records, yes. TulipFarm tables enforce field rules, imports and bulk changes wait for review, and agents show the exact change before it applies. For docs, wikis and notes, Notion is the stronger tool, and many teams can keep using it for those.
What is the main difference between TulipFarm and Notion?
Notion is a flexible workspace where pages and databases live together and anyone can shape them. TulipFarm is narrower: it keeps records in tables with rules, and runs agents and workflows on them with approvals you choose.
Can TulipFarm replace Notion completely?
Probably not. TulipFarm has no doc or wiki editor, no offline or mobile apps, and no SSO or SOC 2. It is a better home for records that must be right, such as orders, prices or stock.
How is this different from Notion AI?
This page compares the Notion workspace of docs and databases. Notion’s AI features, including Custom Agents, have their own comparison page. In short, Notion’s Custom Agents run on triggers and schedules; TulipFarm agents can wait for a person to approve the exact change.
When should I just use Notion?
Stay with Notion if your team writes docs and keeps data in the same place, likes building its own views and templates, needs SSO and SOC 2 today, or works offline and on phones.
Can I move a Notion database to TulipFarm?
Yes. Export the database as CSV, create a TulipFarm table with matching fields and rules, and import the file. You review the proposed rows before they apply, and rejected values are flagged for you to fix.
How much does TulipFarm cost compared with Notion?
Your first TulipFarm Cloud signup includes $50 in free credits. Paid plans aren’t public yet; see the pricing page to ask for more credits or apply for student, NGO or startup support. Notion has a free plan, Plus at $10 and Business at $20 per member a month, billed yearly. Custom Agents cost $10 per 1,000 credits after a free trial.
