Where TulipFarm differs from Airtable

Three differences that show up when an agent handles reprint requests, each with how Airtable handles it.

  • An agent’s change waits for a person

    TulipFarm

For actions you pick, the agent shows the exact change and waits until Maya approves it.

    See Agents

    How Airtable handles it

Omni uses your permissions and offers Undo. For approval steps, Airtable suggests forms, automations or comments.

  • Rules on the table, not only the form

    TulipFarm

Unique, required, type and choice rules apply to every save, including an agent’s.

    See Tables

    How Airtable handles it

Required fields and data validation are settings on a form, and validation is on paid plans.

  • Workflows that wait days for a reply

    TulipFarm

A run can wait up to 30 days for a person and resumes after a restart without redoing steps.

Automation scripts are JavaScript with a 30-second time limit per run.

Switching from Airtable

TulipFarm can’t import a base or its automations directly. Move one table and one job at a time, and keep Airtable running until you trust the result.

  1. Export one table

Download a grid view as CSV. Airtable exports each table as its own file.

  2. Import it and add field rules

Import the CSV into a TulipFarm table, then set types, required fields, choices and unique values.

  3. Rebuild the job as an agent or workflow

Turn the automation or Field Agent prompt into a skill, and mark the actions that need approval.

  4. Run both for a week

Compare the results before you switch. Your first signup includes $50 in free credits.

Questions about TulipFarm and Airtable

Is TulipFarm an Airtable alternative?

Yes, for teams that want agents to do work on their records with a person approving the changes that matter. TulipFarm has built-in tables, files, agents and workflows in one workspace. Airtable is a broader app builder, with many field types, interfaces and integrations.

What is the main difference between TulipFarm and Airtable?

Airtable starts with a flexible database you build apps on, and adds Field Agents and Omni to work on it. TulipFarm starts with the work: an agent shows the exact change it wants to make, a person approves it, and workflows can wait up to 30 days for a reply.

Does Airtable have AI agents?

Yes. Field Agents work inside every record and can run when data is added or updated, and Omni builds apps, creates automations and updates records. Omni uses your permissions and offers Undo after it acts.

Can TulipFarm do everything Airtable can?

No. Airtable has more field types and views, custom interfaces, more integrations, SOC 2 Type II, SAML SSO and audit logs. TulipFarm has table-level field rules including unique values, approval of exact agent changes, and workflows that resume after a restart.

Can I move my Airtable base to TulipFarm?

Table by table. Export each grid view as CSV, import it into a TulipFarm table, and add field rules. Automations and Field Agent prompts need rebuilding as workflows or skills.

How much does TulipFarm cost compared with Airtable?

Your first TulipFarm Cloud signup includes $50 in free credits. Paid plans aren’t public yet; see the pricing page to ask for more credits or apply for student, NGO or startup support. Airtable Team is $20 per collaborator a month billed yearly, or $24 monthly, with 15,000 AI credits per collaborator a month. Business is $45 billed yearly.

Does TulipFarm have SSO like Airtable?

No. TulipFarm uses Google sign-in or an email link, and has no SSO, SCIM or SOC 2 report. Airtable offers SAML SSO and SCIM on Business and Enterprise Scale.
