Where TulipFarm differs

Four differences that show up when a print shop’s proof follow-ups belong to the team, not one person.

  • Anyone on the job can direct the agent

    TulipFarm

A saved agent belongs to the workspace, so Sam can start it when Maya is out.

    See Agents

    How ChatGPT Dots handles it

Only the owner can direct their dot in Slack; messages from other people don’t start work.

  • Proof status lives in one table

    TulipFarm

The team’s orders sit in a built-in table, and a required due date keeps gaps out.

    See Tables

    How ChatGPT Dots handles it

A dot works with information from the plugins you connect, such as Gmail and Google Drive.

  • Maya sees the change, not a summary

    TulipFarm

On actions you pick, the agent shows the exact before and after and waits for an OK.

    See Workflows

    How ChatGPT Dots handles it

An automatic review decides whether an action proceeds, needs your approval, or must be done by you.

  • Your chats stay out of admin view

    TulipFarm

Workspace admins can’t open a member’s personal chats or private agent tasks.

    How ChatGPT Dots handles it

Enterprise admins can use Compliance API records to investigate user messages and dots’ replies.

When to stay with ChatGPT Dots

A dot is the better choice if any of these sound like you.

You want one agent that follows you everywhere
The same dot answers in ChatGPT, Slack, Microsoft Teams and on a call, with one memory across them.
Your work happens on websites
A dot has its own cloud computer and browser, and can also work on your connected computer.
You want OpenAI’s newest model
Dots run on GPT-6 Astra and can hand work to ChatGPT Work and Codex tasks.
You need SSO and compliance tooling
Business adds SAML SSO; Enterprise adds SCIM, audit logs through the Compliance API and data residency.

Moving a job from ChatGPT Dots

TulipFarm can’t import a dot or its memory. Move the job your team shares and keep your dot for your own errands.

  1. Choose a shared job

Pick work your dot does for other people, such as chasing proof replies.

  2. Give it a table

Export the list it works from, such as a shared sheet, as CSV or XLSX and import it into a TulipFarm table.

  3. Write the instructions down

Turn what you told your dot into a skill, add it to a saved agent, and pick which actions need approval.

  4. Run both for one cycle

Compare the results, then cancel the dot’s schedule. Your first signup includes $50 in free credits.

Questions about TulipFarm and ChatGPT Dots

Is TulipFarm a ChatGPT Dots alternative?

For team work, yes. A dot is one person’s always-on agent. TulipFarm is a shared workspace where records, files, agents and workflows live together, so anyone with access can pick up a job and a person approves the exact changes you choose.

What is the main difference between TulipFarm and ChatGPT Dots?

Ownership. Only a dot’s owner can direct it, and it works from the apps you connect. In TulipFarm, saved agents and tables belong to the workspace, so the team shares the same records and the same agent.

Can TulipFarm do everything a dot can?

No. Dots have their own browser and cloud computer, voice calls, mobile apps, Microsoft Teams, and SSO on Business plans. TulipFarm has none of those. It adds built-in tables with field rules, a visual workflow builder and runs that can wait up to 30 days for a person.

Can my company admin read what I say to my dot?

On Enterprise, yes. OpenAI’s admin guide says Enterprise admins can use Compliance API records to investigate user messages and dots’ replies. In TulipFarm, workspace admins can’t open members’ personal chats or private agent tasks.

Is ChatGPT Dots available in Europe?

Not on ChatGPT Pro. OpenAI lists Pro access for users over 18 outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Business Premium is rolling out worldwide, and Enterprise admins must turn dots on.

How much does TulipFarm cost compared with ChatGPT Dots?

Your first TulipFarm Cloud signup includes $50 in free credits. Paid plans aren’t public yet; see the pricing page. Dots come with ChatGPT Pro, which starts at $100 a month, and with Business Premium seats from $100 a user a month.

Can I use a dot and TulipFarm together?

Yes. Keep your dot for personal follow-ups and move shared jobs, like order tracking and approvals, into TulipFarm tables and workflows.
