Switching from Smartsheet

TulipFarm can’t import Smartsheet sheets, automations or dashboards directly. Move one sheet at a time and keep Smartsheet running until you trust the result.

  1. Pick one sheet an agent should work on

Choose a sheet of records, such as jobs to invoice, rather than a Gantt plan.

  2. Export and import

Export the sheet to Excel, import it into a TulipFarm table, and add field rules.

  3. Rebuild the workflow

Rebuild the sheet’s automation as a workflow, and pick which agent actions need approval.

  4. Run both, then switch

Run both for one cycle and compare the results. Your first signup includes $50 in free credits.

Questions about TulipFarm and Smartsheet

Is TulipFarm a Smartsheet alternative?

Yes, for teams that want AI agents and workflows to work on records and files, with a person approving the exact change on the actions they choose. Smartsheet is a mature platform for projects and portfolios in sheets, with Gantt, dashboards and forms.

What is the main difference between TulipFarm and Smartsheet?

Smartsheet starts with sheets and adds AI that assists: Smart Assist acts from a conversation, and Smart Agents are still in development. TulipFarm starts with agents working on shared records, workflows that can wait up to 30 days, and files that agents create.

Does Smartsheet have AI agents?

Not yet. Smartsheet says its Smart Agents are in development, with an early adopter program. Today it offers Smart Assist, Smart Columns, AI dashboards and an MCP Server that connects Smartsheet to Claude, Copilot and other assistants.

Can TulipFarm do everything Smartsheet can?

No. Smartsheet has Gantt and calendar views, portfolios, dashboards, forms, formulas, DocuSign, and SOC 2, FedRAMP, SSO and SCIM. TulipFarm has Table, List and a read-only Board view, a few built-in app connections, and no SOC 2, SSO or SCIM.

When should I just use Smartsheet?

Stay with Smartsheet if you plan in Gantt charts and portfolios, your team thinks in spreadsheets and formulas, you need FedRAMP or SSO and SCIM today, or you rely on Microsoft, Salesforce or DocuSign integrations.

Can I move my Smartsheet sheets to TulipFarm?

Yes, one sheet at a time. Export the sheet to Excel, import it into a TulipFarm table and add field rules. Automations need rebuilding as TulipFarm workflows; Gantt plans and dashboards don’t carry over.

How much does TulipFarm cost compared with Smartsheet?

Your first TulipFarm Cloud signup includes $50 in free credits. Paid plans aren’t public yet; see the pricing page. Smartsheet Pro costs $9 and Business $19 a member a month, billed yearly, with free contributors and a 30-day trial. Enterprise pricing is custom.
