Where TulipFarm differs

Four differences that show up when you hand routine edits to AI, each with Accelo’s side.

  • Agents make the change, not only the warning

    TulipFarm

An agent drafts the edit to a record and, on actions you pick, waits for a person to approve it.

    See Agents

    How Accelo handles it

Through its MCP connector, AI can view and change data within each person’s permissions. Logging time and updating tasks are listed as “soon”.

  • Tables for records Accelo wasn’t built around

    TulipFarm

Create a table for stock, proofs or suppliers, and field rules reject a bad value before it saves.

    See Tables

    How Accelo handles it

Custom fields extend Accelo’s own modules, with types that include dropdowns, lookups and formulas.

  • Imports wait for review before they land

    TulipFarm

Bring in a CSV or XLSX file, and the rows arrive as a proposal that a person checks and approves.

    See Tables

    How Accelo handles it

CSV import covers company and contact lists, and Accelo suggests keeping each file to 1,000 rows.

  • Workflows with code and long waits

    TulipFarm

Add JavaScript or Python steps, start from a webhook, and pause up to 30 days for a person.

    See Workflows

    How Accelo handles it

Triggers can create tasks, update fields and statuses, or send emails when a rule matches.

Switching from Accelo

TulipFarm can’t import an Accelo account. Keep Accelo for time and billing, and move one side job first.

  1. Pick a job outside billing

Choose one that sits outside Accelo, like paper stock, supplier prices or proof checks.

  2. Set up the table

Import the data as CSV or XLSX, review the proposal, and add field rules for the columns that matter.

  3. Give the routine to an agent

Write the steps as a skill, save an agent with it, and require approval on the edits you care about.

  4. Compare for a month

Keep Accelo running alongside. Your first signup includes $50 in free credits.

Questions about TulipFarm and Accelo

Is TulipFarm an Accelo alternative?

Only for part of what Accelo does. TulipFarm is a workspace for records, files, agents and workflows, with approval of exact changes. Accelo is a full professional services suite with time tracking, resourcing, quotes and invoicing, which TulipFarm doesn’t have.

What is the main difference between TulipFarm and Accelo?

Accelo runs the business side of client work, from quote to invoice, and its AI flags risks to margin, time and capacity. TulipFarm lets you build tables for anything you track, and its agents make edits that wait for a person’s approval on the actions you choose.

Can Accelo’s AI change data?

Accelo says its MCP connector lets AI view and change data within each person’s permissions, and that logging time and updating tasks are coming soon. Its in-app agents, such as Margin Guard, focus on spotting problems early.

Does TulipFarm do time tracking, invoicing or resource planning?

No. If you bill by the hour or plan people’s capacity, keep Accelo for that work.

Is Accelo the same as Forecast?

Accelo also runs Forecast PSA, which has its own sign-in. This page compares TulipFarm with Accelo’s main product.

Does Accelo have SSO?

Accelo’s help center says SAML login is in a beta trial that you request by email. It supports two-factor sign-in. TulipFarm has no SSO; you sign in with Google or an email link.

How much does TulipFarm cost compared with Accelo?

Your first TulipFarm Cloud signup includes $50 in free credits. Paid plans aren’t public yet; see the pricing page to ask for more credits or apply for student, NGO or startup support. Accelo doesn’t publish prices and quotes based on team size.
