Where TulipFarm differs

Four ways TulipFarm works differently, each next to how Rocketlane handles it.

  • Track orders, stock and clients, not only projects

    TulipFarm

Build a table for anything your team tracks. Field rules stop a bad value before it saves.

    How Rocketlane handles it

Work is organized as projects, with unlimited projects and customer members on its paid plans.

  • Agents show the change before it lands

    TulipFarm

On the actions you choose, an agent lays out the exact edit and waits for a person to approve it.

Its Nitro agents, sold through sales, show their steps for review and ask for approval “where it matters.”

When to stay with Rocketlane

Rocketlane is the better choice if any of these describe your team.

You bill clients for time
Rocketlane has time tracking, timesheet approvals, and on Premium, invoicing, rate cards and revenue recognition. TulipFarm has none of these.
You staff people across many projects
Rocketlane plans resources and tracks capacity and utilization on Premium. TulipFarm doesn’t do resource planning.
Clients sign off in a portal
Rocketlane gives clients a branded portal for approvals and updates, plus Gantt plans and a mobile app.
You need SOC 2 and SAML today
Rocketlane lists SOC 2, ISO 27001 and GDPR on its trust page, with SAML on Enterprise.

Switching from Rocketlane

TulipFarm can’t import Rocketlane projects. Move the work that isn’t time or billing first, and keep Rocketlane for those.

  1. Pick the records outside your projects

Start with a list that lives outside your projects, like reorders or paper stock.

  2. Bring the data in

Save it as CSV or XLSX and import it into a TulipFarm table, then add field rules.

  3. Hand a routine to an agent

Write the steps as a skill, add it to a saved agent, and require approval on the changes that matter.

  4. Run both for a cycle

Keep timesheets and invoices in Rocketlane while you compare. Your first signup includes $50 in free credits.

Questions about TulipFarm and Rocketlane

Is TulipFarm a Rocketlane alternative?

For some teams. If you mostly need shared records, files, agents and workflows, with a person approving the changes that matter, TulipFarm fits. If you run client projects that you bill by the hour, Rocketlane covers time, resourcing and invoicing that TulipFarm doesn’t.

What is the main difference between TulipFarm and Rocketlane?

Rocketlane is a services delivery suite: projects, a client portal, timesheets, resourcing and invoicing. TulipFarm is a workspace where agents work on your tables and files, and you choose which actions wait for approval.

Does TulipFarm have time tracking or invoicing?

No. TulipFarm has no time tracking, timesheets, resource planning or invoicing. Rocketlane has time tracking on Standard and invoicing, rate cards and resource planning on Premium.

Can clients approve work in TulipFarm like in a Rocketlane portal?

Not through a client portal. TulipFarm approvals are for people in your workspace. Rocketlane gives clients a branded portal where they can approve work.

Do Rocketlane’s AI agents need approval before they change things?

Yes, where Rocketlane decides it matters: its Nitro page says you review the steps, then approve. In TulipFarm, you pick the actions that need approval, and the agent shows the exact change first.

Can I move my Rocketlane projects to TulipFarm?

Not automatically. Bring across the records you track outside projects, such as orders or stock, as CSV or XLSX, and keep Rocketlane for time and billing while you compare.

How much does TulipFarm cost compared with Rocketlane?

Your first TulipFarm Cloud signup includes $50 in free credits. Paid plans aren’t public yet; see the pricing page to ask for more credits or apply for student, NGO or startup support. Rocketlane Standard costs $49 per team member a month, billed annually, with at least 5 team members.

Does TulipFarm connect to Jira or Salesforce like Rocketlane?

Jira, yes: agents can search and read issues, and a create, update or delete waits for approval. Salesforce, no. Rocketlane lists Slack, Salesforce, Jira and HubSpot, plus Zapier and Workato for other apps.
